Blog: Cover People Socially

When people say stupid things in a social situation, fall awkwardly, have stuff in their teeth — COVER THEM the way you would want to be covered! I hate when I’ve said the wrong thing & someone spotlights it & my face is blushing & I’m stammering trying to get out of it. But every time people cover me, I’m so thankful! The way to do it is to be in it with them & provide a way out. Be discreet & don’t make them feel on the spot.

One time my friend fell on the floor in front of a group of people & I instantly fell to the ground too to cover her & make sure she didn’t feel dumb. We laughed & had a blast & she was thankful. I’ve been covered by my crew a million times too & I’m always happy about it.
